From 2004, In USA -

My interest for real estate was sparked by my realtor, Mr. Ram Konara, a top seller in DFW, who encouraged me to pursue it during my home purchase in 2012-2013 due to my sales background. However, with young kids and Nagaraj frequently traveling, I couldn’t take it on then.
-
Mr. Ram, our family’s trusted realtor since 2008, introduced me to industry professionals like Mr. Jack Godhwani and Ms. Swati Shah (a dancer and dance school owner who would often attend Hindu and Nepali Programs as I would), as well as builders, including those contractors that were involved in my own residence.
-
This network led me to projects in construction and remodeling, both personal and through builder collaborations. Today, I live in a home I built to suit my family’s needs, complete with my in-home studio and workshop for my other specialties.

Until 2004, my introduction to construction and remodeling came through my father, Mahesh Joshi, and his close friend, an architect and owner of Purohit Architects in Gujarat, India. My fascination began in my upper elementary years when my father took me to see a newly developed shopping center—an exciting experience that sparked my interest in the field
-
During the construction of our own home, my involvement deepened as I managed raw materials, inventory, and labor hours while my father was at work. The Purohit family, also connected to my school, further nurtured my passion for construction and architecture. With my mother's health declining, I was often consulted on inventory selections, as it was my father’s wish for her to live in a home of her own. This responsibility made me feel valued, and over time, I took the initiative to learn more by engaging directly with construction managers.
-
My father emphasized my role in the family, ensuring I was actively involved in every project. Visiting the site after school became a daily routine, and I would often return with my father in the evenings to review progress. This hands-on experience instilled in me the excitement of building from scratch, and as I grew older, I recognized the critical role construction plays in infrastructure.
-
What began as a childhood adventure evolved into a lifelong passion. Everywhere I have lived, I have continued to build and create, refining my skills through hands-on training under industry experts. I also pursued formal courses from local institutes to enhance my expertise.
-
In 2016, my Indian construction certification expired, as it was primarily relevant under local laws and anyway irrelevant in USA. However, since 2004 in the U.S., it had been more of a formality. Today, I collaborate with certified local contractors and builders, primarily on my own projects whether for personal use or simply for the joy of creating.
